SAVA Project

The Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center, or SAVA, is a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and resources for vitims of sexual violence and prevention programs through community interaction and education. The scope of this project is to install a wheelchair accessible entrance for the building and ADA-approved bathroom amenities to meet the needs of clients.

Project Updates

February 2014

  • Verified bathroom dimensions and prepared drawings
  • Met with landscape architect to develop ramp plan
  • Worked with asbestos abatement contractor to pull permits

March 2014

  • Completed a successful first work day on 3/29
  • Bathroom permit has been delivered, plumbing and electrical rough-ins are complete and passed inspection
  • Drywall hung in bathroom and curb cut to create accessible sidewalk area

April 2014

  • Installed floor and wall tile and painted bathroom
  • Removed a tree and installed a drain outside the building
  • Built wall for new wheelchair ramp
  • Leveled and graded site for concrete pour May 9
  • Planted new landscape for improved aesthetic of site

May 2014

  • Concrete pour delayed by weather but completed week of May 12
