Volunteer

The Department of Construction Management welcomes volunteers to assist with maintaining our program of excellence. Members of industry and alumni can volunteer to guest lecture in our courses, mentor students, conduct tours of their current local projects, and mentor competition teams.

If you are interested in being a volunteer, simply fill out this form and submit it to cminfo@colostate.edu.

Volunteer Possibilities

Guest Speaker: Our students' best educational insights come from guest speakers from industry. Based on your experience, you can sign up to guest lecture in specific courses listed on the volunteer form and bring current industry trends and methods directly to the students.

Job Site Tour Leader: What better way to give students a feel for the job site than a tour of your current project? If your job site is in the northern Colorado or southern Wyoming area and open for student tours, please note it on the volunteer form.

Student Competition Team Mentor: Students who participate on competition teams take great pride in their work and are always eager for input from industry to give their projects the extra edge in judging. Volunteering as a mentor for a competition team could involve meeting with the team during their preparations, attending and critiquing practice runs, providing insights into materials from an industry perspective, and more. You can select a team to mentor on the volunteer form.
